Overview

Soqe-lèqa Bî was founded durring the early 14th century in summer of the year 1320, by Trîgfega Zèqtco. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.

Soqe-lèqa Bî was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the early 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Soqe-lèqa Bî is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Soqe-lèqa Bî is buildings are arranged arrounded a highly ordered system of restrictive cobblestone streets which form triangular paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The town rests behind a thick wall made from clay bricks. The wall has all of the proper fortifications and is well made. Unfortuantly the nature of clay brick leaves it quite vulnerable to siege equipment, though the thickness of the wall lends it simmilar resistnace to a thinner hardrock wall. Astonishigly, the millitarily questionable fortifications are in pristine condishion, as if they had just been finished before you laied eyes upon them.

The first thing you notice about Soqe-lèqa Bî is the large sign at the entrance welcoming you to their humble town. Children come up to you and say hi, some asking if you’ve fought any big monsters, and others just zipping away after their hello. The adults are much the same. By the time you’ve made it a significant way into the town you’ve been invited to a tavern for a pint to drink in exchange for news of the world. You’ve also had no less than three older women give you a sweetroll and direct your attention to their still unmarried children. It would be creepy if it wasn't so sincere.

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century, Soqe-lèqa Bî was attacked by soldiers from another nation, waging a greater campaign. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Soqe-lèqa Bî lost 286 people, 353 livestock, and 77 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 89, when members of Soqe-lèqa Bî's militia enacted an operation to delay the operations of the enemy. The operation was complicated by a significant percentage of the militia choose to go abandon the operation and return home. The conflict ended with the defense of the production site against a siege, which ended in a stalemate for Soqe-lèqa Bî's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Soqe-lèqa Bî's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
